From the Schedule page of the event, each race has a menu to the right. You will only be able to enter results if you are logged in and have been given access to enter results. The Dropdown menu for a scheduled race will appear as follows:
From the Menu choose Enter Result - if you cannot see this option you are either not logged in, or you are logged into an account with insufficient Event Privileges to enter results.
On this page are buttons, one for each boat in the race, that show the boat name and crew/team name. As each boat crosses the finish line click/tap the relevant button. It will turn green and insert the Finish Position and Points.
If you press the wrong button, or realise that a boat has not finished, press the button again to 'unfinish' the boat, the positions and points of all other teams will then be adjusted and the button turn orange to highlight you to the change.
For League Racing you are likely to be using the High Points scoring system, this means that first place will be scored the points equal to the number of boats.
If any boats have any scoring adjustments or penalty points these should be entered by manually correcting the points (not the finish position) and an score code for explanation should be selected. NB for the High Points scoring system, penalties are normally negative values and scoring adjustments often set the boat score to 0.
At any time you can click Submit to save and move on to the next screen. Clicking Cancel will return you to the previous screen without saving.
When you Submit the Race Result you are taken to the Update Entry screen where you have an opportunity to review the Result. If any lines are highlighted Red then you can't move on from this page.
Check that the Finish Position and Points are as you expect.
Check the Race Status is set to either Race Finish (normally set by the finish recorder) or Race Complete (normally set by the results officer).
Clicking Submit then places the Race and all of its information into the record store and allows for the results and tie-breaks on all display pages to be updated.
N.B. The following video demonstrates the process of entering results for a League Race. Please note that the options available in the dropdown have been reorganised slightly since this video was produced, however the process remains the same.
