Keeping Connected with the kSail/BUSA Partnership

Staying Connected

Most university sailing clubs already have an existing relationship with kSail, whether having used the kSail Events Portal, or through ordering parts and equipment; to make the most of the support and benefits available through the partnership, it is important that your club is connected correctly across the various kSail systems.

Webstore

www.ksail.co.uk/equipment
Our online store is where clubs can browse and purchase parts and equipment for events, their Fireflies or other boats.
When logged in using a recognised university sailing club account, the webstore will automatically show discounted partnership pricing.
If you are unsure whether your club already has an account, please contact us before creating a new one.

Accounts Portal

https://accounts.ksail.co.uk/portal/
When logged into the accounts portal as a user of a university club account, you will have access to the organisation's complete ordering history, invoices and account information. This gives the current users an insight into the organisational history and helps maintain the knowledge about the Clubs history.

Webstore & Accounts Portal Login

The login details used for the Accounts Portal and Online Store are linked.
Clubs can either choose to assign access to individual committee members and update users each year or can use shared club email address(es) which can be passed between committees as responsibilities change, either approach is perfectly acceptable, provided account information is kept up to date.

Resetting Passwords or Login Information

If your Club uses shared email addresses, you should be able to use the standard reset password functions. If your Club has previously used individual email addresses, you can fill in the form at https://www.ksail.co.uk/busa or you may need to get in contact with kSail to ensure we can connect the right people.

Events Portal

Your connection to the kSail Events Portal is built around individual sailors rather than organisations. Each sailor creates their own account and can then be granted additional permissions to manage clubs, teams and events where appropriate. These accounts are separate from the Website and Accounts Portal and will require seperate passwords. You may however choose to use a third party login provider to connect to the Events Portal.

Additional guidance on managing clubs, teams and permissions within the Events Portal can be found elsewhere in the Knowledge Base.

Keeping Your Club Connected

University sailing clubs change every year, but the boats, events and club history often continue for much longer. Keeping your club account connected helps preserve that continuity as responsibilities pass from one committee to the next. This can make committee handovers easier, help new officers access previous ordering history and account information, and ensure club records remain linked to the correct organisation over time. If your club has previously worked with kSail but you are unsure who currently has access to your accounts, please get in touch. In many cases, we can reconnect an existing account rather than create a new one.
