Manage Team

Team Management

If you have permission, you will be able to access the Manage Team page from the Team homepage by clicking the Manage Team button. This will allow you to update key information about the team and view all the sailors currently attached.
 

Adding Members

On the Manage Team page you can manage the sailors who are a part of the team. There are two options for adding a Team Member:
  1. inviting a new member, or,
  2. creating a temporary sailor
In most cases, the preferred option is to "Invite Team Member".

Invite Team Member

You can search by name or by email address for anyone in the kSail system with a public profile that you would like to invite as a team member. They will then receive an email inviting them to accept or decline your invitation.

If they do not have an account, or their Profile is not public, you can fill in their first and last name, and their email address, and an invitation will be sent.

You will receive email updates when the recipient responds to the invitation. To accept an invitation, the recipient must create an account on the system.

Create Temporary Sailor

If, for example, you are managing a team for a school, where the sailors are not able to create an account on the system you can instead create a Temporary Sailor. This will then allow you to attach that sailor to event entries. If they later make an account and wish for their results to be linked, you can link an account to the temporary sailor created.
