Hosting a team racing event often places additional demands on a club's fleet and equipment.

Through the kSail/BUSA Partnership, recognised university events can access support to help them prepare their boats and equipment for the additional demand that will be placed on them by an event.

The support available will vary between events but may include access to the additional equipment needed, further discounts on parts and spares as well as practical advice from the kSail team.

University events using the kSail Events Portal may qualify for additional event-specific pricing on parts and equipment purchased in preparation for the event. This support is intended to help host clubs invest in their fleet ahead of their events, firstly to reduce the chances of breakdown and failure during the event but also to help manage some of the additional costs associated with preparing boats for the challenges of competition.

The kSail Team Racing event spares boxes provide organisers with access to a wide range of parts which are frequently required during an event meaning a reduction in the amount of time needed to repair boats and keep racing going during the event. There are a range of class specific spares boxes suitable for use ashore or afloat or for different sizes of event. 

In addition to parts and spares, host clubs receive preferential bookings on the full range of equipment which kSail has available to hire. This can be particularly valuable where clubs need additional temporary equipment to support thier event.

As is often the case, one of the less visible benefits of the partnership is access to practical advice and support from Keith, Paul and the wider kSail team. Sometimes the right answer is a spare part. Sometimes it is a different approach entirely.
